About Us
Glastonbury Health Centre was purpose-built in the 1970s and was the recipient of a design award. Somerset Primary Care Trust owns the buildings. It has easy access for all disabled patients with ramps at the entrance and wide doors. There is a low-level doorbell at the entrance to enable disabled patients to request assistance if required. There are fully equipped toilets for the disabled.
 Our practice is contracted to Somerset Primary Care Trust, Priory Health Park, Glastonbury Road, WELLS BA5 1XL to provide NHS services. Somerset PCT's area covers Street, Bruton, Frome and Wells. We are a PMS (Personal Medical Services) practice. PMS is a flexible alternative to the traditional General Medical Services (GMS) contract under which most GPs have worked for the last 50 years.
The practice is well equipped in emergency and diagnostic equipment. We offer a wide range of health promotion clinics, as well as the usual range of surgeries and services.
A significant feature of our practice is our integrated medicine service (acupuncture, homoeopathy, osteopathy, herbal medicine and massage). We are very pleased to be able to provide these treatments, which we see as a new and exciting development of general practice care.
